Championship Bracket

The semi-final round is complete - and we had no shortage of drama.

Chris vs Jon

After sneaking into the playoffs via tiebreakers, Jon’s team balled out this week, scoring 37 points over projection.

My team also beat projections…but after Jon’s kicker knocked a 50yd FG in the second half (and then never touched the ball again) it just wasn’t enough to get the W.

It certainly didn’t help that my bench is an absolute firestorm. As a certain cartoon dog would say…Biscuits!

Jon is now the FIRST champion to ever have a chance to defend a title.

Erik vs Samantha

As expected, Samantha rolled behind the unstopabble trio of Lamar, James Conner, and Justin Jefferson. Meanwhile, for Erik:

Samantha is only the second team ever (behind Jon) to ever pull a worst-to-first.

So our championship round is set to make some history.

Not-Championship Bracket

The other side of the bracket was eventful - but the matchups weren’t close.

• Ryan’s team returned from the dead with 108 points. Led by Jonathan Taylor’s 39.8 points, Morgan never had a chance.
• JB had the high score of the week at 117.3 points, with Chuba Hubbard’s 28.5 points leading the way. Mahomes, Kyren, and Deebo piled on and left Julian in the dust.

Championship Week

With the exception of Jon, that is one of the blandest brackets we’ve had in a while.

• Jon vs Samantha: I’m not sure Jon has the horses to pull this one off, but who knows - I wasn’t supposed to lose either. He’ll need King Henry to vulture all the TDs from Lamar, plus another stellar performance from Jerome Ford and Jared Goff. Samantha, on the other hand, just has to roster her normal team and hope they play normal.
• Julian vs Morgan: I honestly don’t know how to handicap this one. Least unlucky team will win.
