Week 7 Recap

I saw this tweet and thought it summed up this season pretty well

This was a BIG week for the standings. The Season of Injuries continued and we saw HISTORY get made on MNF.

Standings

After taking an early loss, Samantha has regained the top spot. The combo of Lamar (QB1) and Kenneth Walker (RB4) is proving to be nearly unbeatable week to week. As it stands, Samantha is 7th all time in Points over Projection (and about halfway to the #1 spot at the season halfway mark).

Speaking of history - Julian is now the sole owner of the worst single-game performance in League history at 17.08. The previous top spot was Hayden’s 2017 20.38 performance. I’m tempted to submit this to the ESPN / NBC fantasy experts (since there were a LOT of low scores this week). It’s an incredible feat.

Player of the Week

This was a tough one. The obvious pick is Lamar and his 5TD performance…but that’s kinda boring. So in light of Kickers being the most valuable players this season, this week’s award goes to Will Reichard.

This guy is currently perfect for the season and notched an additional 15 points for Tuesday this week. Perfection does not apply to that hairstyle though.

Team of the Week

This one is easy.

Both Tuesday and Morgan are IN THE WIN COLUMN.

A WIN IS A WIN.

Matchup of the Week

On Sunday, I thought the matchup of the week would be me vs Sam. 1 vs 2.

But then Jayden Daniels did what he does best and gets injured, while Lamar does what he does best and scored points. This game turned from a close matchup into an ass kicking real fast.

The ACTUAL best matchup was Tuesday vs Ryan.

Tuesday was entirely dependent on Joe Mixon and her kicker to start the weekend. It looked like Ryan was going to eventually catch up.

And then the entire SF team got hurt and Brock Purdy had nobody to throw to. The Vikings got into a shootout with Detroit. Terry McLaurin had no QB, and his kicker dropped a goose egg.

And then Baker happened. 28 points later, Tuesday got that W.

Manager Stats

The Power Rankings speak for themselves. The top half of the league is still all over the place, and now so is the bottom. Except Erik. He’s been consistently meh the last three weeks. BUT, he’s still in the playoffs (as of today)…so no hateration here. The 6/7/8 teams are all still in the hunt, so hopefully we get a week where nobody gets hurt (PLEASE!?)
