Week 3 Recap
Well, that was a roller coaster of an NFL week.
- Injuries? Check
- Low scores? Check
- High quality performances from players we’ve heard of? NOT CHECK
- Fun football games to watch? UH…Sure
Sunday Ticket should be $5 all these teams fucking suck

I think I’ve said this every year, but THIS year is definitely one of the weirdest fantasy years I’ve experienced so far. There’s lots of data points out there, but here’s one:
- ESPN has been SO BAD with their projections. In Week 1, they were (in aggregate) pretty close. Since then it’s been -74 and -53 across the league.
- Morgan and Megan have been the worst hit, with 83 and 61 projected points just disappearing into thin air since the season began.
Apparently we just need more kickers.

WTF is happening?
Standings
Despite only two unbeaten and winless teams - the league is wide open. If it wasn’t for Jon’s late point surge, nearly every game was decided by a TD. Points are still hard to come by, but the teams are all pretty evenly matched right now. I don’t even want to think about what is going to happen once BYE weeks start in Week 5.
Player of the Week
While Josh Allen was the highest scoring player this week, the actual honors go to Zach Charbonnet. What started as a 17 first quarter turned into a slug fest and it seemed like Jon was poised for his first loss.
Then somehow, someway, it’s Charbonnet (from UCLA!) and now Jon has the high second highest score of the week!
Team of the Week
This week’s honors to go JBeeZyn. After two narrow misses, JB gets his first W in dramatic fashion. Despite Mahomes (still) having a lackluster start to the season, the Zyns were propped up by a monster performance from Kyren Williams and a sneaky pickup of Keon Coleman.
With Singletary chillin’ on the bench, there might be some more W’s in the near future.
Matchup of the Week
There is no competition here: Megan vs Morgan was THE MATCHUP to watch. Here’s how it went down:
- Morgan scores some points.
- Megan scores far fewer points.
- Morgan seems to have this in the W column, while Megan is poised to set the record for lowest score EVER.
- MNF comes along.
- Austin Ekeler has a huge kick return + scores a TD.
- Austin Ekeler gets a concussion.
- Megan is short by 2 yards.
- Morgan’s team is winning.
- The Commanders seem to be driving to burn down the clock.
- Morgan’s DST gets a sack and stretches the lead.
- THEN THE COMMANDERS THROW A TD and take 2 points from Morgan.
- Megan wins?
Let’s be honest - we all lost with that one.
Manager Stats
No real standouts in the EN FUEGO department. Megan had the highest ratio of points on the her bench, but when you don’t score any points, everything looks like a big number.
The power rankings are pretty thrashy. Between those numbers and the sheer number of points not scored - there’s no clear leader in the clubhouse.
BYE weeks are going to wreak even more havoc than normal.
I can’t wait to score even fewer points with players NOBODY has heard of.
Schedule Notes
Good SNF matchup: Bills vs Ravens
MNF double-header: Titans vs Dolphins & Seahawks vs Lions. Only one of those matchups is watchable.
ALSO, LONDON GAMES ARE COMING!
